I Launched A Patreon!
When I launched my podcast in April, I had a very “let’s see where this goes” attitude about it. Six months and 50K downloads later, where it’s going is pretty good. A Single Serving Podcast and its Facebook group have brought me more joy than I know how to tell you about. To see this community grow and begin to share support (and meet up in real life all around the world, what?) shows me that I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to be doing right now.
With that, it’s a lot of work. Like, a lot. At the moment, both the podcast and management of the Facebook group are passion projects of mine, and it actually costs me money to create and host the podcast. I want to keep going, and keep creating. To do that, I need your help.
I’ve just launched a Patreon. Patreon is a place where creatives receive support from their followers, in order to keep creating the work that their following loves. In exchange, Patrons receive benefits from the creator corresponding to different tiers. Many podcasters and writers use Patreon to keep creating the work their audience loves. I have three tiers available to you:
The Thank You Tier: This tier is $3 per month and is essentially you saying thank you to your podcast host and helping keep her in business. She loves you very much.
The Bonus Episode Tier: This tier is $5 per month and comes with a bonus solo episode of A Single Serving Podcast every month that you can’t get anywhere else. Patrons at this tier are also welcome to email me questions and 100% of Patron-submitted questions will be answered in monthly episodes.
The Facetime Tier: This $85 per month tier includes all bonus episodes, plus a once-a-month Facetime with yours truly. Let’s chat about reframing single life, freelance writing career stuff, anything you’d like an extra set of ears on from the perspective of the host you’ve gotten to know through the podcast and my writing. My goal is to help single women feel better about this time in our lives, it’s what this work is all about, and I know that sometimes it can be a huge help to really connect with a human being and talk through this stuff. I’m here for you, let’s hang out. (Limited to 25 patrons only, just a heads up.)
It’s extremely important to me that I continue on with this work and continue to build this community. Your support as my Patron means I get to do that. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for becoming a Patron, and for supporting my work and this community. It means everything to me.
