Podcast Episode: Home Depot Care Package
Preparedness, unseen singlehood needs, and shit hitting the fan. Welcome to the first episode of this podcast recorded in New Orleans! Guess who moronically forgot the gadget that connects her podcast microphone to her laptop and shipped it across the country on a truck that's not here yet? THIS GAL. Regardless, nothing can stop this podcast, not even poor sound quality. I'd imagined this episode feeling very different, I thought I'd have my belongings back, maybe I'd even be unpacked, and I'd be feeling settled and happy in my new home. That's not what's happening. I wanted to record this unfiltered episode for you while my move was still really rough, because difficult things are allowed to happen to single people, and we're allowed to still be okay. In this episode, I'm getting into certain aspects of independence and vulnerability and how those things can be challenged during major things like a move, and I'm also discussing preparedness from the single perspective, which is a perspective that often goes unseen. Thank you all SO MUCH for your encouragement during what has been a truly difficult time for me, I hope you enjoy this solo episode and I'll be back next week with an awesome guest!
