Hi, I’m Shani

I’m the host of A Single Serving Podcast and the author of A Single Revolution. I’m changing the narrative around being single, because so far it’s had pretty bad PR. I’m not an advocate for singlehood. I’m an advocate for women feeling good while single—there’s a difference.

Rachel Wilkerson Miller is an author and editor who recently wrote a brilliant piece in the New York Times called How to Say No During Wedding Season. She touches on a lot of themes that I think are close to our hearts as single women, in a validating way that also relies heavily on logic. In sum, I wanted to be her friend so I asked her to be on my podcast. Happily, she agreed, and we had a wonderful chat about taking care of ourselves and our feelings and how sometimes that’s not been easy for single women to do. We also spoke a lot of about internet and tech nostalgia from the 90s. This woman understands me, and I enjoyed our conversation very, very much.
