Hi, I’m Shani

I’m the host of A Single Serving Podcast and the author of A Single Revolution. I’m changing the narrative around being single, because so far it’s had pretty bad PR. I’m not an advocate for singlehood. I’m an advocate for women feeling good while single—there’s a difference.

Podcast Episode: Stick Your Face In Ice Water

Podcast Episode: Stick Your Face In Ice Water

Dr. Jenny Taitz, PsyD, is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist based in Los Angeles. She joins the podcast this week to discuss ruminating, among other common themes within the single community, as well as the benefits of connecting with a therapist. She also offers several strategies for rumination and overthinking. This is a beneficial episode for anyone considering therapy or for anyone who has struggled with ruminating as it relates to single life.

One of my favorite things Jenny says in this episode is, “The story of ‘I’ll be happy when’ is just a story.” She digs into the truths surrounding happiness, and the impact our thought patterns can have on it. I really enjoyed speaking with Jenny and I hope you enjoy our chat too!
